Robert Pittman, Sonoma County Counsel, announces retirement after 35 years of public service

After 35 years in public service, including the past 14 years with the County of Sonoma, County Counsel Robert Pittman has announced his retirement, effective January 2026. Pittman has served as County Counsel since September 2020, guiding the Office of County Counsel through significant challenges and milestones. He began his career as a city planner in Artesia, California, before attending law school with the goal of becoming a public agency attorney. Read full story
