Notice of Intent to Award: Opioid Settlement Funds NOFA
The evaluation panel carefully reviewed and analyzed the proposals received in response to the Opioid Settlement Funds Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA). Based upon that review and analysis, we are recommending to the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors that contracts be awarded to West County Health Centers, Buckelew Programs, Inc, and Center Point/Drug Abuse Alternatives Center. Board of Supervisors approves funding for mobile crisis teams through Measure O
The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors today authorized the funding of five mobile crisis agreements to ensure that emergency mental health services in the cities of Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Cotati and Rohnert Park, and Sonoma State University, will be able to continue through June 30, 2026. The contracts amount to $5.98 million, reflecting an increase of 61% over the previous fiscal year, and are funded by Measure O, the quarter-cent sales tax approved by voters in 2020 for mental health and homelessness services. Sonoma County to host community meetings on Emergency Operations Plan
The Sonoma County Department of Emergency Management is updating the County’s Emergency Operations Plan and is seeking public feedback. The County will host in-person community meetings in each of the five supervisorial districts as well as a countywide virtual meeting. Read full story
Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) - Community Development Block Grant- CARES Act (CDBG-CV)
The Sonoma County Community Development Commission (Commission) will be accepting funding proposals from eligible applicants for Community Development Block Grant – CARES Act (CDBG-CV), Fiscal Year 2020-21 Action Plan Substantial Amendment. Board of Supervisors to hold TRUTH Act Forum to review Sheriff’s Office data on ICE access
Sonoma County residents are invited to participate in a community forum to learn about when the Sheriff’s Office Detention Division provides information about certain incarcerated persons to federal immigration authorities. This public meeting, the TRUTH Act Forum, is required under a 2017 state law. Read full story
